How to measure the foot:
To measure A and B, use a ruler. It is preferable to measure the foot over a thin sock.
To measure C and D, E and F and G and H use a measuring tape.
A and B
Standing up straight, trace the footprint on a piece of paper. Measure from the middle of the heel A to big toe end point B (this can change according to the morphology of the foot).
C and D
Raise on the ball of the foot to determine point C. Leaving the foot flat on the ground, bend the knee forward to determine point D. Then measure the circumference of the ankle through points C and D passing the tape below the ankle bones. The line does not need to be parallel to the floor, and it may form a curve bordering the bone.
E and F
In order to determine the E point, pass your fingers over the instep. You will pass over a protrusion, and when, approaching the ankle, you will find a cavity or a hollow area, according to the foot. This is point E. The F point is located on the line drawn from the point E perpendicular to the floor, in the foot arch.
Measure the instep circumference through E and F points.
G and H
The circumference of the widest metatarsal part is measured through the most protruding points on the internal and the external sides formed by the joints. Take into consideration the bunions and calluses that may appear on this area of the foot.
How to calculate the size?
Measure one foot is very similar to measure a person. Many remember that when we were kids, we stood up against a wall and we placed a book on her head, marking with a pencil the height in the wall itself. Then it was sufficient to measure the distance from the ground up to the mark. Well, the system is very similar. It is about putting the heel of the foot flat on book next to the wall and, with a ruler, mark the spot until it arrives. Then measure the distance. It is important that this be done with socks similar to those that are to be used with shoes that we buy. It is also important to measure both feet and choose the larger size (very few people whose feet are identical). In any case, for the measurement is correct is to stand with your weight distributed between both feet. The photographs may be the appropriate system of measurement. You can use a blank paper, but it is important that it is just against the book and not moving. Then add 1 cm to get the measure of activity and foot and only seek to apply the conversion table. The size to be chosen is the next larger size. For example, if your foot on activity measured 9.800 inches, choose size 8 1 / 2.
